Motion and vote related to repowering HMD patrol boat

Earl makes the MOTION: Approve $50,000 to repower the BHD 27' patrol boat so it can be operational as soon as possible. At this time, HMA is funding 100% of the cost with an understood commitment from the mayor that he will request a transfer of 50% of this cost which, upon City Council approval, would be reimbursed back to the HMA fund.

Second by Rotondo.

Discussion: Callaghan asks what repower means. Dickman responds that it is to replace the engines on the patrol boat. He has talked with multiple vendors. There is some discussion about the approval process by the City Council. Dickman notes the boat is currently out of commission so approving all of the money now allows him to place the order now.

A vote is called and taken by roll call. The motion is approved, 6-0.

Adjournment

There being no further business before the Harbor Management Authority this evening, Callaghan makes a motion to adjourn. Rotondo seconds. A vote by roll call is taken and the motion to adjourn is approved (6-0).
